Quite a typical holiday. Some shopping in the morning. A lunch with too much red wine under my belt. A nap.

Slept well. So far the cats haven't liked (they didn't even bother tasting them) the raw meat purchase I did yesterday. I gave them mixed chicken and salmon bites, and they looked at me like I was crazy.

Went running in the early evening and I did my usual route five times (app. 7,5 kilometres). It was very very easy, I didn't run overly fast and I could have done lots more if I hadn't got an odd feeling in my stomach (felt like shitting in my pants). Some muscle exercise and stretching before coming back home.

Somewhat a rainy day, went to play football but there was only four of us there, so cancelled. On the same trip however, I went to a pet store and bought my cats some raw meat; pig hearts, chicken hearts, salmon and mixed chicken. Hopefully they'll like 'em.

Apparently I didn't write anything here yesterday. To my benefit, I was having a hangover, I laid on the sofa and watched the entire series of Long Way Round.

Today I spent of the time at summer cabin.

Woke up early. Played some Walking Dead on PS3, listened to music and ordered some CDs online (Suicidal Tendencies, Graveyard, Union Carbide Productions, Paradise Lost, The Dandy Warhols) and a Motörhead flag.

Took a walk. To the liquer store. Bought two bottles of red wine (French Bourgogne Pinot Noir and Fortuna Chile Organic wine of Chile). On the way home, popped in a neighbourhood restaurant for lunch and ate mashed potatoes, meatballs, salmon and veggies. As an afterthought, I should have been real hungry. Couldn't eat too much of that stuff. It wasn't too good either. The salmon was advertised as Mexicon Salmon (sic) and it was overcooked salmon drizzled with chili oil and grease. The meatballs tasted funky. The salad - all sorts of different stuff - was good. Ate everything while sitting directly across a massive aquarium and few fish.

Another easy day of Summer vacation. Watched a decent movie Sushi Girl while eating breakfast, after that got a sudden urge to buy a new camera, so I ordered (online) a silver OLYMPUS + SP-810 UZ - it was rather cheap, not too difficult to use and efficent enough for now.

Watched some Finnish horror movies in the morning. But before that did a short running exercise, I did my usual route three times. I just couldn't do it any longer, I was totally exhausted, maybe it was the morning heat of +20 celsius and maybe I was overdressed. I'm glad I did what I did (app. 4,5 kilometers) though.

Tried to pick up a new climbing tree to my and my ex's cats from the post office, but it was so big and heavy that I had to leave it there and return later with a car.

So in the evening we got it done.

Another lazy holiday. Watched a long Japanese serial killer movie Cold Fish. Alright, but despite all the brutality rather boring.

Another football practise. This time with the lads and gals from the work place. It's always easier than the practises I have on Mondays and Thursdays.

Two long and tough drunken days and nights took its toll, and I'm still very tired. But thankfully I'm on a holiday and I have every right to sit at sofa and watch movies.

Went to play football in the evening though and I immediately felt energized. 

Read the news of Dennis Farina's passing. As if James Gandolfini's death wasn't enough for this year. Loved everything Dennis Farina ever did, from Crime Story to Snatch, everything. In my Top 10 favourite actors, easily.

Did a morning run. My usual route four times, it was easy, but I guess I should have eaten at least something before doing it.

First day of my summer holiday, so that's kinda alright. Quite an ordinary morning though. Some coffee and music - for the first time, started listening to the new Black Sabbath album entitled "13".

I made some plans as what I'm possibly doing during my holiday, it includes getting a mugshot so I can get a passport or any sort of official ID. I reckon, I had the exact plans a year ago, but didn't do anything. I have to clean up my apartment, maybe today. I'll organize a poker tournament or more, starting tomorrow. I'll participate in few festivals, starting Saturday. That does it. Otherwise, music, movies and wine. Whiskey. Girls. Debauchery. All sorts of shit.

Time to participate in all the football practises (three times a week). Like I did today.

This is the last day before my summer holiday of three weeks worth, so that's pretty cool.

Woke up earlier than I normally do. An evening shift, not much to do in the morning. I waited until the neighbourhood store opened, organized a poker tournament, played some Dead Souls on PS3 (dropped it because it was too difficult). I slept well. I had a couple of glass of wine yesterday evening and I watched a very good movie The Life Of Pi.

Friday. Bought couple of cheapest Pinor Noirs I could find and I'm good to go. Namely, Italian Trifula and German Black Tower.

Played - bits tipsy - the career mode of Fifa 13, my team Chelsea beat Newcastle 3-2. Wayne Rooney scored the winning goal, I paid serious money to get him.

Nothing particularly interesting at work. A rainy day, not too many customers at the library.

After work and a short nap. Went running. On the way to the track came across a friend of mine who lives abroad, but spends a few weeks in this country each year with his family. It was very nice to see him. Gotta find some time in my schedule to organize a traditional home game poker tournament and invite him in.

Went to play football, our library's practise session, but only four people turned up, so couldn't really play, so straight back home, some food and The Savages DVD.

A day off. Doctor called in the morning called and said that my laboratory results are pretty good, the bad cholesterol level has been descending rapidly and all the other results are getting better too. I asked about stopping eating the pills, but she thought better of it. I have to ask my original doctor that in September, so until then I have to keep taking them and keeping an eye on the blood pressure too.

Did some shopping (food for cats, DVDs for myself) in the day. Played some Tomb Raider on PS3 and watched the first episode of True Blood's season 5.

Quite a hectic day yesterday. I had a very good football practise, something like 1,5 hours, and after a quick shower and beer at home, went to a club and witnessed a cultist band Xysma rehearsing for today's big festival gig.

Anyways, today's an evening shift and I'm obliged to work all weekend.

A morning shift during which I made a quick stop at a hospital laboratory to give a blood sample. Next week I'll know is my cholesterol level getting any better.

An evening shift. After a proper breakfast and reading the newspaper, I had some time to kill and killed it by listening to music.

A morning shift. A library customer suffered a minor heart attack, some sort of seizure or something and fainted, so we had to call an ambulance. Like so often, in the clear case of serious situation, the other employees first call us because they don't want to have anything to do with a possibility of someone dying or they are afraid of calling the paramedics. Each time we waste a few very valuable minutes. If someone dies on our hands one day and it gets investigated, it probably gets ugly. This time around, I was also shocked because no-one else had called the paramedics before we arrived, there were plenty of customers just sitting there with thumbs in their asses and this guy looked like he was dying before their very eyes. No one did a fucking thing. Pathetic.

Went to play football in the evening.
