I haven't written here anything for a month simply because I was stupid enough to go running on an cold day and I fell down on an icy surface and broke my wrist badly. Two major bones on my hand were broken and the small bones on the wrist were disheveled. It hurt like motherfucker and I still have a cast on (and I'm on painkillers), so it makes living quite hard. I'm right-handed and I broke my right hand, so do the math. Everything has been quite impossible at times.

The weather was made in heaven. Where else?

The second attempt to order a new camera failed. I used a different wholesaler, but tried to order the same camera, but no. Funny or scary thing is that this company never took an initiative and contacted me, they were happy to take the money, but after nothing happened for a month (they promised to send the camera in 3-7 days), I wrote them an e-mail and asked what's up. Then they promised to deliver it to me the following week. That didn't happen. And as they didn't contact me, I once again wrote them an e-mail and threated that I'll let either consumer service or police taking care of things from now no. They answered that they don't have the camera. Fuckers. They assured me that I'll get my money back. Once I get my money back, I'll contact the consumer service and sure enough, bombard their facebook page with complaints. As a matter of fact, they are still advertising the same camera on their web page. They are waiting for a sucker to order and just possibly the customer forgets that he or she has ordered anything. And I'm sure there are people who don't know how to make a complaint or are afraid to make any contact to the wholesaler. And I'm still the sucker, I still haven't got the money back.

Kinda was worried - if I gave a fuck, that is - that I'd forgot to write here yesterday. And I did. Was working the better part of Saturday, so I was quite knackered at home. Work day was interesting to say the least. Almost half of the library was closed down because we are cleaning the carpets, so we had to use detours when going from place A to place B. And some extra work too. We had to throw couple of violent drunks out of the premises. We have a guard, but the guard stayed motherfucking silent and did fuck all. Luckily the other drunk - the scary violent type - was so wasted on booze and pills that I escorted him out with ease. The other one was alright. I even thanked him. 
Today after a work day, I bought myself a kebab pizza and decided not to finish watching Lincoln, and I picked Andrew Dominik's Killing Them Softly instead and it was a great movie.

After work yesterday, I tried to watch some football. I saw the Chelsea game (against Hull) which they won 2-0 and I was looking forward to the games of Barcelona (against Levante) and Real Madrid (against Real Betis), but I became dead tired after two classes of wine, so I went to sleep. FC Barcelona beat Levante 7-0, Leo Messi two.

Some football in the evening. I was a bit out of shape, due to a reason or another my neck hurts like hell.

After the work I watched some World Championships in Athletics. Well, not really no, but some javelin (as I predicted the Czech dude won it and the Finn dude came second) at least. Premier League began, so I followed it the best as I could, the Arsenal vs. Aston Villa game (1-2) and Swansea vs. ManUnited (1-4). I have an open cable right for two weeks and I have to get most out of it. It's great that the European leagues are up and running right now. If I'm not mistaken some La Liga tomorrow.

A very good football practise yesterday even though the day before I had drank two bottles of wine.

When shit hits the fan. A very peculiar work day (an evening shift) today. Otherwise a very quiet day, but suddenly everything happened at the same minute. There was a robbery in the library premises; a frequent visitor, a foreigner, stupidly left all his belongings to a chair and moved about the library for 8 minutes and of course some junkie came there and took everything. Luckily he was caught on time and it's caught on camera if the police wants to see it. And at the same time there two other junkies causing disturbance. We were already dealing with a big book delivery from other libraries. And enough as it is, we faced problems with our access control and the program that controls our doors. We had to solve that. Also, the book conveyor belt broke down to the level that I couldn't fix it, just managed to waste too much time with it. And some machine (the computer that takes care of public announcements, I presume) began making this very very loud noise.

Didn't remember to write anything yesterday. Either. I had a decent football session. Today I have bounced back and forth a few emails with the shop I ordered my camera from and it seems like I'll never get it. Now I have to make sure I'll get my money back, by the fucking penny and that I'll never order anything from Pixmania ever again and the fucks in UPS can go fuck themselves.

My first working day for a good while. It was alright, I didn't slept well and saw a dream where I woke up too late, but like I said, it was alright.

Football practise in the evening. And it was a very good practise because we played on real grass (instead of artificial turf or sand). Before we got thrown out, that is. The grass pitches are reserved for the official teams only and there are signs everywhere to not use them. And as a matter of fact, hardly no-one uses them so from time to time when all the other pitches are occupied we shamelessly jump in. We might get caugh red handed by the janitor or the fuck is the lawmen around there, but oftentimes we get away scot-free. And all he can do really is to throw us out. And we got thrown out yesterday, but only after we had played there for two hours, so it was a win-win.

Got drunk yesterday. It was my last chance before my vacation is over and it's the fucking nine-to-five again. I was a bit hangover alright, but I took a bike and rode to a flea market, didn't find anything there, but luckily downstairs at a cheapo market I purchased quite a lot of domestic stuff like washing liquid and deodorant and stuff, even new pair of shorts which are great.

In the evening went running with an intention of just going out and finishing off the hangover. I did my usual route only once, but I did some proper exercise though. I couldn't have run any more, the salmon I had eaten before was there in my stomach causing cramps and trying to get out.

I tried getting drunk yesterday, but it was hopeless. Didn't have the mood for it, so after few shots of whiskey (Lagavulin and Vat 69.), a bottle of red wine and few beers, I decided to call it quits. Went to bed and slept well. No hangover, no nothing.

Yesterday two major leagues began, namely French Ligue 1 and Bundesliga. I watched online Montpellier vs. PSG which ended up 1 - 1. I quite liked what I saw. Bayern Munchen won their game, 3 - 1, can't remember the opponent just now.

A hangover day. I wrote a complaint to the shop where I ordered my camera from. It was promised to be delivered over a week ago and the fucking UPS is fucking things up. They are keeping the package in their warehouse, they have scanned it a dozen times already (I can follow their doings online), but have done nothing with it. Funnily enough, their driver needed a security insurance five times before getting into the warehouse. Funny yeah, but I don't laugh.

It was very very easy, I didn't run overly fast and I could have done lots more if I hadn't got an odd feeling in my stomach (felt like shitting in my pants). Some muscle exercise and stretching before coming back home.

Woke up early. Played some Walking Dead on PS3, listened to music and ordered some CDs online (Suicidal Tendencies, Graveyard, Union Carbide Productions, Paradise Lost, The Dandy Warhols) and a Motörhead flag.

Took a walk. To the liquer store. Bought two bottles of red wine (French Bourgogne Pinot Noir and Fortuna Chile Organic wine of Chile). On the way home, popped in a neighbourhood restaurant for lunch and ate mashed potatoes, meatballs, salmon and veggies. As an afterthought, I should have been real hungry. Couldn't eat too much of that stuff. It wasn't too good either. The salmon was advertised as Mexicon Salmon (sic) and it was overcooked salmon drizzled with chili oil and grease. The meatballs tasted funky. The salad - all sorts of different stuff - was good. Ate everything while sitting directly across a massive aquarium and few fish.

Another easy day of Summer vacation. Watched a decent movie Sushi Girl while eating breakfast, after that got a sudden urge to buy a new camera, so I ordered (online) a silver OLYMPUS + SP-810 UZ - it was rather cheap, not too difficult to use and efficent enough for now.

Watched some Finnish horror movies in the morning. But before that did a short running exercise, I did my usual route three times. I just couldn't do it any longer, I was totally exhausted, maybe it was the morning heat of +20 celsius and maybe I was overdressed. I'm glad I did what I did (app. 4,5 kilometers) though.

Tried to pick up a new climbing tree to my and my ex's cats from the post office, but it was so big and heavy that I had to leave it there and return later with a car.

So in the evening we got it done.

I reckon, I had the exact plans a year ago, but didn't do anything. I have to clean up my apartment, maybe today. I'll organize a poker tournament or more, starting tomorrow. I'll participate in few festivals, starting Saturday. That does it. Otherwise, music, movies and wine. Whiskey. Girls. Debauchery. All sorts of shit.

Time to participate in all the football practises (three times a week). Like I did today.

A morning shift. A library customer suffered a minor heart attack, some sort of seizure or something and fainted, so we had to call an ambulance. Like so often, in the clear case of serious situation, the other employees first call us because they don't want to have anything to do with a possibility of someone dying or they are afraid of calling the paramedics. Each time we waste a few very valuable minutes. If someone dies on our hands one day and it gets investigated, it probably gets ugly. This time around, I was also shocked because no-one else had called the paramedics before we arrived, there were plenty of customers just sitting there with thumbs in their asses and this guy looked like he was dying before their very eyes. No one did a fucking thing. Pathetic.

Took it easy, the whole Saturday. Was pretty active in the cleaning business that I started yesterday, today I cleaned the mightily dirty balcony windows, it took some time and effort, but did a proper job. Used dishwashing liquid and it got the job done better than ever before.

Watched a movie called Angel's Share, a Ken Loach picture, it was nothing remarkable, decent at best, but because it partly dealt with Scottish whiskey, it had an effect on me. Thence I smelled and drank Lagavulin (16 years) and Tobermory (10 years), totally influenced by the movie. Luckily I also had some Scottish beer in the fridge (Old Worthy) too. That's it, didn't take more to booze it up. More whiskey and wine (Argentinian La Celia Pinot Noir).

A morning shift and pretty much nothing to do. There was a Middle Ages market in the near vicinity of our library, so I went there and bought some reindeer, moose and cheese sausages. They are darn good.

At home cleaned up the place real good. Vacuumed and washed the floors. Washed some carpets too. Rewarded myself with a nice meal (potatoes and Wiener schnitzel) and quality wine (La Celia Pinot Noir).

Survived the summer solstice. I didn't go nowhere far, hardly further than the home sofa and nothing overwhelming happened, but it's nice that it's so quiet everywhere. The past Saturday I drank more than I should have, I woke up at the floor at some point to the sound of omnipresent thunder, too much red wine and whisky (Tobermory) and online poker.

I hadn't played poker for few months and it was nice to see I still have the touch. At best, was third in 10 people's tournament, but I played well.

Because of all the sitting and drinking all weekend, before going for a run while stretching my back, I got some severe back pains, so severe that I could hardly breathe. Popped some painkillers and decided to go for a walk anyways - turned out I was in shape enough to run, so I ran my usual route four times and it was easy even though my back was sore all the time and it got worse in the evening.

It was no effort at all for Nigeria to beat Tahiti (6-1), but it was a fun game, my heart was for the underdogs, it's great seeing games where everything doesn't reek of pure professionalism.

I had to watch some recording surveillance footage of what happened in the library yesterday evening. Junkies fought against each other, used some of library's pieces of furniture as a weapon and one of them verbally attacked one of my colleagues.

A young boy of two years of age disappeared from his mother today, so we began searching the library premises inside and outside. This time around I found this buy hanging around on the second floor oblivious of the desparation of his mother and the people searching him.

In the evening went running anyways. Did my usual route four times and it got pretty hard the last minute because I got an urgent need to take a shit. Luckily I got home safe and sound.

An off-duty Saturday. A bowl of granola for dessert and I went running. It's nice to run in the morning and I did my usual route six times which altogether is something like 9 kilometres.

Lots of energy because of the good morning run. Hope to do it again tomorrow. Only if I don't party too hard the following night.

Did nothing the whole morning and day. A typical hangover day. Tried watching something, ate some, slept.

In the early evening, despite the crazy weather of +29 degrees celsius and blazing sun, went running. Did my usual route four times. It was alright, not too deadly, I even had the strenght to do some extra exercise.

Lots of music in the morning. And coffee. Just going through my collection of music in my hard drive and deleting the shitty songs. If the song doesn't please me I delete it the fuck off, it's that simple. It pays off when I prick my ears at some shit, quite nothing this morning, an Imperial State Electric song though was quite fucking groovy though. So groovy that I put it on my walkman.

After couple of hours of music and sitting on a chair, I got bored. Put on my running shoes and went running. It was alright, did my usual route four times, pretty easy. On the way back home, picked up the latest Queens Of The Stone Age album from a record store.

Drank several glass of wine in the evening, some beer and went to a nearby pub.

Bits thunder in the air. Woke up to the thunder actually, a welcome change to the weather. Anyways, I poured myself a cup of coffee, made a pineapple smoothie and begun listening to music.

Once back home, I took a short nap and my ex and her mother came by. I left to play football and they stayed with the cats for a while.

Slept quite restlessly the whole night. Woke up a few times the middle of the night, read few pages of the Dan Brown book, tried sleeping again. I had a football match and a few beers under my belt, maybe the reason lies therein.

Our library had a football match against another library and the result was 0 - 0. It was an alright, fair game. Not too much space with 7 + goalie on a small field, but at least relatively easy defending the goal. Had a few beers with the opponents in the nearby bar after the match. Nice summer evening.

Haven't really checked my blood pressure too religiously lately, but plugged in today. It was high, by all accounts, maybe it was high because of the two cups of coffee I had swallowed only a few minutes ago. It however would probably be wise start paying attention to it once again.

Took it leisurely the whole day. Tried watching Cosmopolis the movie, but it was difficult, the novel it's based on is fucken amazing, probably the best book I have ever read. Started reading the new novel by Dan Brown (Inferno) even if I'm still in the middle of reading Let The Devil Sleep by John Verdorn. The latter is perfectly readable, but really liked to see where Dan Brown goes this time. The first pages were fascinating. 

Went playing football in the evening.

Before going to work watched the two last episodes from the season two of Game Of Thrones.

There was nothing interesting at work. We had a movie night at our auditorium and showed Green Lantern, one spectator turned up, but he left halfway of the movie.

Got the new Dan Brown book Inferno and started reading it before going to bed, even if I'm halfway of some twenty other novels currently.

A hangover of some magnitude. I reckon, I drank two bottles of wine yesterday.

I managed to go to the city however and I bought myself a pair of football shoes. Funny thing, the football shoes, they either fit you or they don't, and you don't know that trying them on in the store. Not until you are on the field you know are they fit, if not, they are useless.

Today I learned that Christopher Lee volunteered to fight for the Finnish forces during the Winter War in 1939. He and other British volunteers were kept away from actual fighting, but he was issued winter gear and was posted on guard duty a safe distance from the front lines.

We had a football practise of our library's team. Total of six people participated even if it was the final practise before the game. And I'm sure there's something like four times more players when the game is due. Make way to the attention whores.

Otherwise nothing very interesting happened. Yesterday we did though have a burglar in the library premises and I watched the surveillance tapes. Got some decent recordings of the perp.

Drank three bottles of wine last night. Watched World Cup ice hockey where Sweden hammered Finland 3-0 and Switzerland beat USA 3-0.

At midday went with my ex-girlfriend to a flea market to collect our belongings. We had a table there for a week and at rough estimate I got - after fees and provisions - something like 70 euros (my ex a little less). It's not lot, it's fucken less than we estimated. Too bad that we got the table when the warm days finally started and it's been shiny ever since, and that affects the popularity of flea markets surprisingly much. But anyways, I managed to sell some stuff. A few CDs, nothing special, not something I'd buy and that's why I'm selling them, I suppose. A few books, clothes, DVDs and games.

Bits hangover. Last night, I tasted a few different wines (Pinor Noir exclusively) and eventually drank myself senseless. All that while watching the first season of Game Of Thrones. I also played Walking Dead, a PS3 game. I guess that's all.

Before going to an evening shift, took a bike and rode to a flea market. I carried a few more items for sale and checked how we have sold after three days. Not much, it's been really quiet on that front.

Nothing interesting at work. A rather well known figure in European Parliament Mitro Repo paid us a visit and lectured at the library's auditorium, but there weren't that many listeners. I got a pen from one of his followers.

Finland played against Slovakia in the World Cup, won and are on the top 4.

My ex-girlfriend and I, we have taken a flea market table and I heard that after two days we have sold stuff worth quite nothing. Hopefully things will catch up.

An evening shift. I woke up rather early, so after breakfast, I did a little tidying up around the house. I made my bed, put my shirts and jeans in order, so that's a start.

After the work and a sixty minutes' sleep, I went playing football. And it was the first time this year and the first time since my injury last year. So all this considered, it went well. I was a bit rusty and I wasn't satisfied with my shoes, but I didn't injure myself or the others. The group I'm playing with every Monday and Thursday consists of mainly foreigners and immigrants, plus few of us natives to stir up the pack, and they are good people. The core of our group has stayed together at least 15 years, each year it changes a little, some retire and we get new folks, but it still feels the same. It's funny, I don't see any of those people at my spare time unless we occasionally bump into each other, and to see them after a long winter every spring, it's kinda bizarre. There are at least 100 people I know from the football field, but otherwise I have nothing to do with them, socially. The magic of football.

Sunday and a couple of hours after the breakfast (sandwiches & coffee), I went running and it was a very easy workout, I ran my usual route 6 times. So, I jogged every day the past seven days, altogether 37,7 kilometres of this quite hilly route. Obviously, a new record.

It's getting quieter on that front from now on. I'm going back to work and for instance when I'm on an evening shift, it's quite difficult if not impossible going running. And after the workday you are already a bit tired, so I don't run with that much ease, if at all. And besides, the football season starts from tomorrow onwards, I prefer playing football and if everything fits into place I have three practices each week. If I'm on an evening shift, I don't play, but otherwise I'm on the field.

Hopefully I don't break my leg as I did last year.

There was a -25% discount at the pet store for the food my cats dig the most, so I took a bike and bought a few bags of that stuff. I also purchased some dried fish and a couple of toys. The cats looked me with pity in their eyes when I handed them their new toys. We all know I'm constantly giving them presents.

Went running. Fifth time in a row this week. I have never done this before. Anyways, I did my usual route five times (app. 6,5 kilometres) and it felt great to have a good sweat running down my face.

Read rather famous Finnish musician Kauko Röyhkä's new musings from his Facebook page where he picks up a topic that too often people listen to single songs from iPad instead of entire albums and compares it to reading excerpts of a book instead of cover to cover. I can see his point. I do both, but these days I prefer listening to songs randomly from my computer, my walkman or you tube whatever. Sure, when I buy an album, I listen to it, song by song, concentrate on the music, on the lyrics, the whole deal. But I'm in the phase of downloading my physical album collection to computer and really fucken enjoy listen to the entire collection in disorder, if a cool tune comes up, I'll pump up the volume, read the lyrics and maybe then listen to the other songs of the album as well. And on the other hand, if a song of not that good calibre comes up, I'll skip it immediately and most likely delete it as well.

I like the book referance too. I'm a weird book reader. Love 'em to death, but honest to god, I'm always reading something like thirty books at the same time. I have books in my bed room, in the living room, in the toilet, in the kitchen, I sometimes bring a book in the sauna, I read what's in close vicinity and start reading where I left off. Reading too many novels at the same time is a bit too confusing, but not impossible. I sometimes buy a book, read a few chapters, like it alright, put it in the bookshelf, forget it there for few years and start reading it again.

And now that I think of it, it's the same with movies and television series too. With Netflix, it's easy, I'm wholly comfortable keeping unfinished movies there. I continue watching them when I feel like it.

One of my ex's and our mutual cats celebrated her 3rd birthday today, so I went to give her some treats. She's cute as a button.

I was supposed to go playing football but the minute I was supposed to walk out the door I found out that the practise was cancelled. It was supposed to be our work place's first football practise this year, so it was no wonder, people weren't interested. We have a match twice a year against another library and then and only then our people are interested. They are more into the after-parties and thence they are mocking the great sport of football.

It really is quite amazing. Once I thought of paying attention to my health and paying the doctor a visit, all the fucking problems began. I probably should forget it all and do what I think is cool which is using all the fucking booze, cigarettes, illegal drugs and unhealthy food that I can muster. Quite a typical Sunday. Some bicycle repairing and a trip to a flea market. Bought Play Misty For Me, the directional debut of Clint Eastwood.

Watched Argo and it was alright.

I felt quite depleted in the evening. Maybe a little depressed. And that's a very good fucking reason to drink some wine. Which I did. Some Montes and Dominio de Punctum, I love the title of the last one and it really is quite excellent too.

And I listened to some music. All kinds of music, preferred the heavy shit.

I had a surprisingly high blood pressure last evening and it was still high this morning. Maybe it has to do with the workday, even if I didn't think there's absolutely nothing stressful about it.

Wasn't feeling my best at the work and I clearly felt the symptoms of a high blood pressure (cold sweat and the feeling of constantly wearing a helmet), but thankfully it was quite an easy day, tried to find a bicycle thief from our surveillance camera recordings (the theft took place last Friday) and found two quite obvious candidates.

Today I learned that ancient Greek/Roman statues were originally brightly painted. The colors have faded over time as revealed by Ultraviolet light.

Bits hangover. Tried killing it with a proper breakfast, mango juice, water and one episode of Extras.

Went with the cats to the staircase of our apartment, just for their amusement. They think it's fucken cool.

Listened to music. Discovered The Virginmarys, a British band apparently. The closing tune (Ends Don't Mend) from their King Of Conflict album sounds great. The other songs are a bit too mainstreamish to my liking. A clean-cut version of Gluecifer is a fitting description.

Today I learned that there are more than 1,000 chemicals in a single cup of coffee. Of these, only 26 have been tested and half caused cancer in rats.

Went to the city and brought myself a new pair of running shoes and running socks. If in doubt, it's not the wind, it's me.

There was a super-sale at the local supermarket that is closing its doors this weekend. Everything was -50% or -70%. Even though it rained like hell, I took a bike, rode 30 minutes, got there in time and purchaded quite a many DVDs, couple of PS3 games and a table fan. And they all were dirt cheap. Didn't spend too much time there because it got extremely crowded, so I rode back home, in the heavy rain again.

Later went to my work place where my colleague served his retirement coffee + cake. It all reminded me that I have to go back to that place in few days time.

At home watched a bullshit drama starring Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones. To my honor, I was also reading a script book of Extras, the TV show.

Few glasses of Venetian red wine Masi in the evening. Listened to new and not so new music by Ibrahim Maalouf, Mogwai, Steven Wilson, Grand Magus, Samae Koskinen, Pentagram, The Virginmarys and the soundtrack of Treme (1st season). That's just the stuff I brought from the library today, don't know will I stuck with 'em much longer, although the Treme soundtrack sounds interesting. Steven Wilson's album is too progressive for my taste and the lyrics are shit. 

Today I learned that specifically for the Nazis, Coca Cola decided to make a fruit-flavored soda when there was a shortage of syrup, and invented Fanta.

Read a few pages of Tom Waits book in the morning - Tom Waits on Tom Waits, interviews and encounters - and it's very fucking good. I'm not reading it from cover to cover, instead I pick up an interview or article randomly and read it. I use a pen as a bookmark and use it to underline all the tidbits. Like all the Tom Waits books, it's full of marvellous quotes and clever insights.

Went shopping and purchased new jeans (bootcut, as always) and some books by Charles Jackson, Kari Hotakainen and Jari Tervo, the last one I got for free because it's a national book day.

Went running and did my usual route four times. Yesterday doing it six times was like a walk in a park, but today it was pretty hard. Thankfully my blood pressure and pulse were alright after the exercise though.

Coffee in the evening and preparing the home studio for tonight's Champions League game Bayern München vs. Barcelona.

Went to my workplace to get next May's roster. After the sick leave I have two working days and I'll start a 10 days holiday and that's nice, I have time to get my blood pressure in order. Chatted with the guys for a while and realized I don't miss coming back to work that much. Luckily I'm on sick leave the entire week.

On the way home went to a record store to pick up my reservations, couple of special 7" albums, by Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds (Animal) and The Black Keys/The Stooges Split No Fun. 

A little later, took a bike to my ex's. Our cat celebrated her 4th birthday and she gave me pizza and cheese cake. I brushed her coat with a special comb and she loved it. And I did too.

At home I took a 60 minutes nap and went running. I did my usual route six times (app. 7,8 kilometres) and hardly broke a sweat. One of the easiest work-outs this year. I was surprised that my blood pressure wasn't as low as I expected it to be.

Later in the evening watched a documentary of Olof Palme and I was quite impressed.

Sunday. Woke up really early (around 6 a.m.), checked my blood pressure (it was alright, but not low enough), took my medicine, ate couple of sandwiches and drank coffee.

Killed time with PS3, music and the internet.

My mom is paying me a visit, so on her initiative we thawed my freezer. Some of the food has remained there untouched for few years.

There was some indication that I had a flu coming up thence opted not going outside for a jog at a park. Felt a little better after a sauna and a big glass of red wine. I haven't had a flu since the beginning of the year, I have tried to fight it off eating one glove of garlic each day.

Better part of the day went while moving my brother's and his girlfriend's belongings to their new apartment. Did a short morning run before that.

Tried to watch David Cronenberg's A Dangerous Method, but got bored after 15 minutes. Successfully watched Looper instead.

My blood pressure wasn't as good as I expected it to be. It wasn't as ghastly as it has been at the worst of times, but with the medication and somewhat healthy living, it should have been better. Despite doctor's orders, I should start jogging more regularly because only that seem to have some positive effect.

If only the weather would pick up. Quite a many rainy and windy days in a row.

As for more healthier living. Maybe I should drank one instead of two cups of coffee each morning. Small steps, you know. I already eat healthier.

I dumped the Cormac McCarthy novel I was reading, it was very good, but I hadn't the patience to concentrate on it properly, so picked up a John Verdon book Let The Devil Sleep, shouldn't be as challenging I would imagine. Like it how the author at the early pages describes tinnitus: What in daylight might resemble the harmless whistling of a teakettle in a distant room became in the darkness a sinister presence, a cold, metallic atmosphere that encased him.

Went running, did my usual route four times and ran back home (altogether app. 6 kilometres) and yet again, after the exercise my blood pressure was fine. I don't know what the doctor was blabbering about when she warned me of going jogging.

Not terribly hangover even though I had a few beers and a big glass of red wine at the Graveyard show.

Did my new routines in the morning. Checked the blood pressure and it's getting better. I'm glad I'm on sick leave because I can just sit back and relax.

Took a bike and went to see my ex and our mutual cats. I had couple of bags of cat food with me, so hopefully made them happy.

Awfully fucking rainy and windy all day, so opted staying inside. Didn't really do much of anything but watched fiction (Luck) and television and played PS3 (Fifa 2012, Max Payne 3, L.A.Noire), tried to watch a movie called Almighty Thor, but 7 minutes of that garbage was enough for me.

Today I learned that when you chew and talk, it cleans your ears.

Took my medicine in the morning, measured the blood pressure, read the newspaper, ate porridge and drank couple of cups of coffee. Something that's going to be my routine from now on.

It's way too early to tell, but it seems that my blood pressure is slowly decreasing.

In the evening went to see Sweden's Graveyard at a local club. 

Today I learned that nine crewmen survived when their war plane crashed during World War II. Eight were captured by the Japanese and eaten. One survived because he was picked up by a passing submarine. That survivor was George H.W. Bush.

Started the medication for my high blood pressure and cholesterol this morning. I probably won't notice anything different for the next few days or weeks, but maybe I was more tired the whole day than I am ordinarily. I have cut down the consumption of coffee too, so maybe that's the reason.

A long day with not much anything to do. I would have had the time to go running, but the doctor said it wouldn't be too wise. So, I was indoors most of the time, watching movies, hanging around with my cats and playing PS3.

There was an another TV show to follow. Watched the first episode of Life's Too Short, a comedy created by funny geniuses Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. 

Today I learned that a bear has 42 teeth.

Watched an episode of Boardwalk Empire before going in.

It would be funny if it wasn't kind of tragic. The doctor tried to measure my blood pressure, but the machine couldn't handle such high numbers, so we had to try it three times to get something and we got the maximum. They should have had the Spinal Tap version of sphygmomanometer. I have an essential (primary) blood pressure disease (sic) and also high cholesterol. I got two weeks' sick leave from work and medicine for both the blood pressure and cholesterol. Hopefully things perk up.

Later finished watching the first season of Boardwalk Empire and it was fucken cool. I own the second season as well and, while at sick leave, might as well watch it too. Though I have some other unfinished seasons of some other shows as well, like Luck, Justified, Human Planet, Archer, Life On Mars, 30 Rock, Treme and Yellowstone, and others.

Finnish ice hockey play offs began, so that was on television. Watched it while reading Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian.

Today I learned that the movie "This is Spinal Tap" is the only movie on imdb rated on a 1 to 11.

It's Sunday, but I'll be working from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The whole day is basically wasted. Unless I had a doctor's appointment tomorrow, I'd probably get drunk on whiskey in the evening.

Pretty relaxed working day. Not much to do, a few junkies roaming around the premises, so that kept us on our toes.

Today I learned that in 1945, Japanese radar operators detected a small number of incoming US planes (which carried the nuclear bombs to be dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki), but decided not to intercept them as the small number of planes were not seen as a threat.

Well, since the beginning of the year 2013 I have written a blog solely because I wanted to see where the days disappear. It's all explained elsewhere, I had a different provider, but it kept fucking up thence I'm here.

I don't write much. And what is written, it's not important or intellectual, there are no deep musings. Nothing concerns you. It's about me, for me. Again, you can go fuck yourself.

Like for instance, today I went to work, there was nothing interesting, it rained pretty much the whole day, so the library (where I work) was quiet and things weren't happening. After the work I ate some meat casserole and almost immediately went to see my brother's (and his girlfriend's) new place of residence. A nice house with lots of apple trees on the yard. Once back home, I played with the cats (I have two), took a shower and brewed coffee. Drank the coffee and watched Boardwalk Empire on DVD.
